Maths Tuition

Linear Learning has grown over the last few years due to our proven track record of helping teens meet their full potential in the classroom. We believe that we provide an environment that not only develops their maths skills but nurture them to grow in confidence and to believe in themselves and know that they can achieve anything they put their mind to.

We want our students to achieve their full potential but believe they need to do it in their own time and on their terms

KS3 MATHS

Years 7, 8 and 9

Maths is usually taught in abilities in Key Stage 3 and at Linear Learning we will always endeavour to place your teen with students of a similar ability.Students will use mental and written methods, as well as calculators and in some cases ICT, such as spreadsheets. They will work on problems linked to other subjects and importunely also to everyday life. The focus is on developing mathematical fluency, mathematical reasoning and problem solving.

GCSE MATHS

Years 10 and 11

Maths continues to be taught in abilities in Key Stage 4 (GSCE) and at Linear Learning we will always endeavour to place your teen with students of a similar ability. We will build on the knowledge developed in KS3 to enable your teen the best opportunity to the grade that they desire.

S.U.M

Online Learning

S.U.M (Straight Up Maths) is a sister company to Linear Learning, where we offer online learning for KS3 and GSCE Maths. Courses will be split into modules based on various different topics.

REVISION

121 and Group Sessions

Outside of our term time table, Linear Learning runs sessions during the schoool holidays for students who wish to have some time either focused on one area of maths or in a 121 session to work through exams papers or an area of maths that they are stuggling with.
