TESTIMONIALS

Find out what our parents & students say about us!

Finding the correct tutor for your child or teen is not always easy. I love that I can use my journey to show students that maths does not have to be a problem.
Of course, maths will be difficult at times – it is for one a language of its own with many different stages and avenues to explore.

But, my experiences allow me to support and empathise with your teenager and their struggles.

Working closely with the family of students, I also understand the battles that adults may hold towards maths, or the process of working towards exams, be it for their own learning or as a parent.

What our parents say about us!

“Abbie is a great tutor. She can recognise the child’s abilities and adjust to them. Not only is she skilled to help those struggling, but she also challenges those who need a challenge. The best thing she gives her students is confidence. Maths aside, she is also a lovely person with a very positive attitude. Highly recommended!”

Parent of KS3 and GCSE 1-1 Student

“I would highly recommend Abbie Jo and her company. She was not only amazing with the tuition with my son but also incredibly helpful for me always offering advice and support”

Parent of GCSE Group Student

“I have had two children that have gone through Linear Learning, and both during the pandemic.
I can’t rate Abbie high enough. Both children achieved and are achieving so well yet more importantly to myself, they achieved confidence and self worth. Abbie installs their own self belief and gives children a confidence that is second to none.
I could not recommend this class enough.

Parent of GCSE Group Students

“Abbie is presently tutoring both my girls in Math at present, the eldest suffers with quite severe social anxiety! To her credit with a couple of heated moments she has gained my daughter’s trust, this I have to add is an achievement and not to be taken lightly! In fact until her time with Abbie she has shown no interest or desire to pass her Math, preferring to believe instead she has no chance ! she now shows not only the desire but also the belief she can attain a pass grade ! ”

Parent of GCSE Group Students

“My youngest has always struggled with Math and cannot recollect formula for tasks ! Abbie shows her alternative memory tools and this has enabled her to improve in test situations. I now have a youngster who is starting to believe she may pass next year in her GCSEs!”

Parent of KS3 and GCSE Group Student

“Abbie became known to us by recommendation I can only do the same and highly recommend her,she has a calm and believing manner. I firmly believe that my children have a good chance to pass now and then I can add another testimonial to back up this one !!”

Parent of GCSE Group Student

“We approached Abbie to support our daughter with her GCSE maths. Our daughter lost a lot of confidence during the pandemic, falling behind a little during homeschooling.
Abbie was supportive, and encouraging and explained things in a way our daughter could understand. Being part of a smaller group meant that there was an opportunity to check understanding and that individual needs were met.
We don’t yet have the final GCSE result, but the biggest achievement for me was that my daughter went into her maths exams feeling calm and positive rather than anxious and stressed. This was what I had hoped for: confidence! She even came out of the exams feeling that they went well and that she’s done her best.
This is all down to Abbie who moved her learning and attitude on leaps and bounds. Thank you. ”

Parent of GCSE Group Student

“My child thoroughly enjoys attending his tutoring with Abbie jo at Linear Learning. Since attending his confidence has visibly grown, and he has also established good studying practices which has helped him revise for his Mock exams. The organisation and communication I receive from Abbie have been amazing; everything runs like clockwork and with ease. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to my friends. ”
